Meet the Team

Studio Staff

Cone 6 YYC Pottery Stuido staff roles will help care for the studio and its systems — from kiln firing schedules, minor maintenance and glaze preparation to teaching and the everyday rhythms that keep the space running well, safely and sustainably.

These roles are paid positions with clear scope, and accountability, shaped with care for both the work and the people behind it.

Studio Stewards

As Cone 6 grows, a small number of studio Steward memberships will be offered to experienced potters who enjoy contributing to the care and rhythm of a shared studio.

Studio Stewards are members first. In exchange for a reduced membership rate, stewards contribute scheduled stewardship hours. These may include (but are not limited to) kiln loading and unloading, reclaim support, shelf washing, and light studio clean up and resets.

Stewardship roles are volunteer, limited in number, and clearly defined, with an emphasis on shared care rather than obligation. These roles are designed to support the studio while respecting people’s time, energy, and boundaries.

Steward opportunities will be shared later in the build process, once the space and systems are in place.
